Tiny bunch of grapes charm
Antique tiny silver and pearl bunch of grapes charm, circa 1910
This ultra sweet and whimsical miniature charm is fashioned as a classical bunch of grapes, with the sweetest little half round, ivory pearls in a bubble back silver setting. A leaf and stem neatly allow for the slightly off-centre oval jump ring. The leaf has been lightly enamelled which is now a little worn. This charm, though tiny, is so beautifully made it will add lots of playful detail to any neck mess.

Extremely sweet, ornate fob seal set with a bloodstone terminal which bears the neat inscription Rose. Looks fantastic in a neck mess! Antique Victorian gold metal lorgnette glasses pendant
Add something really special to your neck mess with these wonderful Victorian lorgnette glasses! They fold out from a neat pendant into little glasses to read a programme in the opera stalls of Victorian England. We love jewellery with a function! You can also leave them folded and use the piece as a quizzing glass. They look fantastic on a solid gold or silver antique chain...back in the day they would be worn on a long guard chain attached by a dog clasp, so they were always at hand for the wearer. The stem is formed as an anchor with a good loop for your chain to go through. Beautiful goldwork details cover every component of this piece - we particularly like the faceting round the edge of the lenses. This is a gold plated piece with a little wear showing here and there. There is also a chip to one lens, as well as surface wear to both lenses. Only to be expected as they are well over 100 years old.
The lorgnettes when folded measure 7.4cm in length and the lenses are 3.8cm wide

Pretty turquoise solitaire
Antique turquoise gold ring
Very pretty, dainty gold solitaire ring presenting a sweet turquoise cabochon in a handmade, closed back setting. The band looks to have been made via the casting method and has little faded scroll details round the band and feathery, leafy designs on the shoulders. Lovely! :) Easy to wear, stacks beautifully with other rings.
I bought it as a Georgian ring, however there are no marks, and I would probably date it to the later, early Victorian era.
The gold has a light rosy hint and the stone setting is a little silvery.
The ring is 5.8mm at widest, where the turquoise sits, and narrows down to 1.6mm at the back of the band.

Gold watch chain choker
Antique Victorian 9 carat gold watch chain choker with additional bolt ring, circa 1890
This unusual 36cm / 14.17in fob watch chain would have held a pocket watch in the Victorian era. It comprises slender elongated links alternating with round rings, and is fixed with its original bolt ring and dog clip clasps. I have added a larger antique bolt ring to make the piece more comfortable to wear as a neck chain - it is choker length. If desired you could remove the bolt ring I've added and add another component, such as an embossed split ring. Really the options are endless with an antique chain like this and you can be quite imaginative with how you style it! As it is, the bolt ring will make a great charm holder - see photo #5 for an example (puffy heart charms available here). All three clasps are nice and secure. The overall effect of this lovely chain is feminine yet edgy.

Silver paste crescent
Antique silver paste crescent pendant on a niello silver bolt ring
For sale is a gorgeous crescent charm made in silver and set with brilliant cut paste stones. It was once a brooch that has professionally made into a pendant, with a small loop and a 9ct gold jump ring added. German hallmarks on the reverse of the piece got slightly rubbed during the conversion process, but these revealed the silver to be .935, and another mark which put it in the 1900-1910 era. We have paired it with a wonderful Imperial Russian niello bolt ring, bought as made in circa 1900 and with a control mark to its pin.

Victorian 15ct gold seed pearl crescent pendant on a 9ct gold bolt ring, both circa 1890
We had this crescent professionally converted form a brooch to a stunning pendant to give it a new lease of life, and we hope you'll agree it's done just that! The wonderful seed pearls are so pure and yummy looking in that rich 15ct yellow gold that the Victorians loved for their pieces. Very pretty antique style ring set with three paste stones to simulate diamond and garnets. The colourless centre stone is brilliant cut and has plenty of sparkle. The top of the ring measures 12.9mm across the finger, with a width of 5.9mm and a rise of around 3.4mm. The band goes down to 3.4mm at the back. The ring has been cast in 9ct pale yellow gold with quite an abstract look to the shoulders. It looks lovely stacked up with other rings!

Pearl and hair work mourning brooch
Georgian gold brooch set with pearl and glass locket with hair
A delicate example of a Georgian mourning jewel, this tiny brooch is set with thirty natural ivory colour seed pearls that shine with a fascinating hint of blue. Blonde-brown hair has been fastidiously braided and encapsulated under a pane of glazed crystal; it is perfectly preserved after two hundred years, a testament to the sentiment behind these very special pieces of jewellery. The brooch is cased in pale yellow gold. Original back pin and ‘C’ clasp is in perfect working order and the piece can certainly still be worn. This is a genuine piece of high quality, collectible Georgian jewellery.

Diamonds are forever, and so is a heart! This adorable ring is made in yellow gold and has a pretty diamond set in a heart which has nice filigree detail round its edge. It has lightly marked lines that go down it for a slight textured effect. The hallmarks tell us the ring was made in London in the 1970s by the manufacturing jewellers FM. The heart including the filigree measures approximately 9.2 x 9.3mm. The band tapers to 1.3mm. This is a fun and pretty ring for daily wear.

Gold pig charm (matte)
Antique puffy gold pig charm, circa 1910
Here we have an adorable, hard to find puffed gold pig charm. She is hollow and of cast form, with sweet eyes and ears, curly tail, and quite stocky little legs. One side of her face is more defined than the other. She has a suspension loop with a very small jump ring attached, so we have added a 6mm gold split ring, though of course you can remove or replace this as desired. She measures around 1.9cm across, and including the newly added split ring is around 1.6cm in height. She is marked 9CT for 9 carat gold. This extremely sweet piggy is ready to be your new lucky charm!

Silver paste bow locket
Antique sterling silver and paste bow locket, circa 1900-10
Who needs to splurge on diamonds when paste is this good? A halo of foiled, hard glass white stones surround a glass locket compartment, which can take a small memento to each side. (Note: the front glass is not fixed and pops out if nothing is inside.) The locket suspends from a wonderful Belle Époque style bow surmount, set with further foiled pastes, and finished with an oval jump ring. The piece is marked 'Sterling Silver' to the reverse. It measures approximately 4.8cm in length and 2.8cm at widest, where the bow is. The original piece of velvet is still inside the locket and we have added a little silhouette to show you how it looks with something in there, but you can absolutely remove that and add your own item! We love this piece styled with an old gold or silver chain - it's certainly a statement piece and can be the highlight of your outfit.

Embossed gold band
Antique Victorian floral motif embossed 18ct gold band
We hunted high and low to find the most beautiful embossed band and this is what we found...
Struck in the brightest high carat yellow gold, an eternal floral pattern in high relief winds its way round this 6.2mm thick band. The carving is crisp and in lovely condition for its 130 years. It retains its original gilded patina, which is what makes the gold so buttery and glittering, even though the finish is rather matt, which we love. Flowers stood for love and romance; this was a wedding ring made to last an eternity, and would have been the prized possession of a Victorian lady. The ring has a slight D shape and rises by around 1.2mm, so really comfortable to wear.

Gold articulated fish with pink eyes
Fine vintage gold articulated fish pendant with pink gem set eyes
The articulated fish made in precious metal is a motif that originated in old Chinese culture, where it symbolised the wish for more of what one desires: luck, wealth or children, for example. The fish were first made as vinaigrettes, their heads opening to hold perfumed cotton, protecting the owner from the malodours of inner city life. Eventually the moving fish was adopted as a jewellery motif and scaled down to be worn as a charm.
This wonderful example is made in yellow gold, and has beautiful engraved details all over, even sweet little eyelashes. He has a very cute face with puffy fish lips, which are set with a gold loop and an oval jump ring. He has pretty eyes set with round cut pink gems, likely synthetic rubies. He measures 42mm including jump ring. He is not the most wiggly articulated fish we have seen and we don't recommend being rough with him, or forcing his body to bend. But he is a beautiful size, and will make a lovely addition to any jewellery collection.

Vintage garnet band
Vintage five stone garnet 9ct gold ring
A beautiful five stone band in the Antique taste, presenting graduating blood red garnets in a gypsy style scrolled setting cast in yellow gold. This is a nice slim band, great for stacking with other rings. The top of the ring measures approximately 18.8mm across, and 4mm at widest where the centre stone sits. It rises by 3.4mm. Miniature gold cased watch key
Antique 19th century gold cased watch key
A delightful antique watch key decorated with a chased gold swirl pattern to the sides. Set with a nice square cut chalcedony to one side, and a foiled rock crystal to the other. The foiling on this has deteriorated with age, likely a bit of water damage. This has only given the stone greater depth and we just love how it looks! The bail swivels, as the piece was made to wind a watch. The gold casing is very buttery and beautiful; it's likely it sits over a core of base metal which was done to give the item strength. It measures around 3.06cm in length and 1.05cm at widest. It likely made in the Victorian era.

The articulated fish made in precious metal is a motif that originated in old Chinese culture, where it symbolised the wish for more of what one desires: luck, wealth or children, for example. The fish were first made as vinaigrettes, their heads opening to hold perfumed cotton, protecting the owner from the malodours of inner city life. Eventually the moving fish was adopted as a European jewellery motif and scaled down to be worn as a charm.
This wonderful high carat example is set with small flat cut rubies to the eyes, and has beautiful cross-hatched scales down the body. The tail has lots of wiggle. There is a small hole to one side of the body - please see pictures. Still perfectly wearable. The smooth finish face is really cute, with nice puffy fish lips. A 5mm gold split ring is set in the fish's mouth, so he will be nice and secure on your chain, charm holder, bolt ring etc. Some silvery solder is visible down the fish's spine where he was joined together.

This buttery yellow gold example has a wonderful fluidity of movement, with striking barracuda-like pointed facial features. The eyes are set with red gemstones, likely synthetic garnets. He can sit up on his little fins and has a cute doral fin on top of his head. We have added a 5mm 9ct gold split ring allowing him to be placed on your chain. His tail is a little bent with age but quite acceptable. The scales are all finely etched for a realistic sinuous look. The head is smooth.

This exceptional example is struck in luminous 18ct gold and showcases an epic eleven scales, all beautifully articulated. They are etched and cross-hatched for a wonderful ornate look. The fish's head is smooth textured, with cute kissy fish lips finished with a loop and oval shape bail. The tail is a little bent with age but if anything gives the fish more life. The eyes are set with dark pink gemstones, likely synthetic rubies. There are studs all down the fish's back and front where all the scales have been joined, with tiny areas of solder visible. This is a collectable and fun item of jewellery underpinned by serious quality.

Green paste half hoop ring
Victorian foiled green paste 15ct gold closed back half hoop ring
It’s a pleasure to offer for sale this super charming - and very collectable - antique stacking band. It presents a uniform row of five foil back hard glass stones of pleasing vivid green colour. Each measures around 3mm. They are brilliant cut and simulate real emeralds very well – but without the hefty price tag! Green paste of the 19th century is in itself relatively hard to find and rather sought after. (See p.97 of Georgian Jewellery, Dawes and Collings, for a wonderful look at Georgian era green paste jewellery.) The middle three stones are quite light and bright in colour, while each outer stone is a deeper moss green. This gives a nice variation and depth as we look upon the ring. The stones are all set closed back in beautiful buttery gold, and joined to a simple bifurcated band which tapers from 3.8mm at the shoulder to 2.85 at the underside. There is no date mark, merely a clear 15ct stamp, but as this composition of gold was only used from 1854 to 1932, at a guess we can date this ring from around the 1850s-60s from its style. We don't recommened getting the ring wet as it would cause the foils to deteriorate .

Dove of peace gold fob seal
Antique dove of peace green hardstone gold fob seal
Our ancestors loved their intaglio fobs! They would wear them at the the end of their watch chain or as an appendage to a chatelaine as part of their every day wear. This lovely tiny example is set with a nice green stone to its terminal carved with a highly detailed, classical dove carrying an olive branch in its beak beneath the word Peace. It really is beautiful. The top of the fob is comprised of finely worked gold, lovely naturalistic scrolls and flourishes. A bail allows for it to placed on your chain, charm holder or split ring. There are no markings but we can certainly date it to the 19th century, likely Victorian, possibly a little earlier. It measures 21.9mm in length, and the stone set terminal measures 14 x 14.8mm. The bail has an inner diameter of 3.4mm and a width of 3.75mm from the outside. It appears to be solid gold but possibly had some base metal added to its core for inner strength.
